About me.

Portrait of Charlotte, a smiling white woman with dark blonde, wavy hair, wearing purple square framed glasses.
I'm really excited by how our society progresses and creates new knowledge, and passionate about working to make these systems better. I care a lot about equitable access to education and research. I enjoy breaking down barriers; barriers between people, or between people and objects, or between people and information, or between people and systems. You get the idea.

I was born in Northamptonshire, went to secondary school in Cheshire before university in Manchester, and have spent most of my working life in London followed by a three year stint in Brussels. I have friends all over the UK and around the world, and consider all of these places to be home.

I'm now based back in England, on the border between the North West and the West Midlands. I'm looking forward to doing some in-depth work locally as well as maintaining my national and international outlook.
